Hole 1 Par 4 Yards 365 Straight hole, slightly up hill favours approach from the left side of the fairway. With a long green iron selection is vital to avoid a long difficult putt.
Hole 2 Par 5 Yards 478 Drive Favouring right side, breaks right to left, trees on left come into play at 240 yards. Decision time for second shot stream comes into play 80 yards from the green, straight across the fairway and up the right side level with the green.
Hole 3 Par 4 Yards 340 Shortish par Four, ball breaks left to right. Pin position a must at this hole as the green is a reverse double Mckenzie, a ball on the wrong tier leaves a very difficult putt
Hole 4 Par 4 Yards 360 Slight dogleg right round old ruin of the farmhouse, drive favouring left side. Pond and trees down left hand side 15 yards left of fairway
Hole 5 Par 4 Yards 368 Dogleg right, tee shot all important pond and stream down left side. A positioned shot about 240 yards (downhill) leaves the perfect approach to the banked green. Pond down the right for the second shot.
Hole 6 Par 4 Yards 295 Short par Four, slight dogleg right reachable in one, heavily guarded by trees left and right.
Hole 7 Par 3 Yards 132 First short hole, hitting the green is a must, water short and left with steep banks left and right. Green slopes from back to front very tricky green (Handle with care)
Hole 8 Par 4 Yards 385 Straight par four up hill, big hollow on the right, favours left of centre tee shot. Blind second shot with a cross target at back left of green, severe break left to right for any shot bouncing on the green.
Hole 9 Par 4 Yards 363 Straight par four to clubhouse, ball breaks left to right. Trees encroaching into fairways on the left and large hollow on the right at 270 yards from tee. Second shot favours right of the centre approach to green with a downward slope for first 10 yards.
Hole 10 Par 3 Yards 216 Very tough par 3 slightly uphill plays all of its 216 yards. Decision time off the tee out of bounds right, trees up the left, make a 3 feels like a birdie.
Hole 11 Par 5 Yards 536 Longest hole on the course. Dogleg left for the tee shot then straight up the hill, trees on the left for the tee shot with plenty room right of the centre. Long tough par 5 to elevated green.
Hole 12 Par 4 Yards 390 Slight dogleg left to blind green pretty straight forward hole favours approach from right side of fairway.
Hole 13 Par 4 Yards 464 Top of the course now, on clear days views of Blackpool, Southport, Yorkshire Dales and Lake District. Down hill tee shot breaking left to right, tee shot down the left is not recommended. Heavily banked green to the right and any short shot right of centre will break right leaving difficult chip.
Hole 14 Par 3 Yards 174 Great par 3 over tall trees any shot pitching short must be left of centre, ball breaks left to right.
Hole 15 Par 4 Yards 395 Tough uphill par 4, plays all of its 395 yards, straight hole favouring drive right of centre. An island of deep grass guards the centre of the fairway 90 short of the green. Avoid going past the pin as thegreen slopes back to front and can leave a very tricky putt.
Hole 16 Par 3 Yards 168 Small green from elevated tee, if you miss the green right side is recommended, hit the green and have a great chance of a two.
Hole 17 Par 5 Yards 530 Long par 5 breaks all the way left to right. Hole turns left to right slightly second shot position vital as trees and rough guard the right hand side. Downhill to the green still breaking left to right.
Hole 18 Par 4 Yards 395 Play it as you see it, trees down the left out of bounds right. Fairway breaks left to right, second shot club selection vital as the green is 45 yards long. 3 putting is common on this green.
